Three Netflix Anime I Actually Enjoy
“I am not a regular Netflix watcher, but as many others, I’ve been a subscriber to the Service. It’s been now 2 months since my Subscription, and I want to share some Insights into Stories I enjoy watching.” – Cleo Germann, Grenchen, the 12th March 2025.
Recommendation 1: “Frieren Beyond Journey’s End”

Frieren is a wonderful Journey into the High Fantasy World with an interesting Twist. We follow the Protagonist, Frieren, an Elf who lives to learn about the Magic in her World.
We learn that she and her Friends defeated an Enemy, and now the World lives in Peace. As her friends die, she continues to live, as she has a long lifespan as an Elf.
That’s where the Anime starts, and we see how she continues her Travel and remembers her old Companions.
The Story is well told, and with each Episode, there will also be aspects of Daily Life celebrated. The Anime moves in between Comedy, Slice of Life, and Action and grants Bing-worthy Sessions for Anime beginners and Anime Fans. I highly recommend you to give it a Try and prepare for one of the best anime now streaming on Netflix.
Recommendation 2: “Back Street Girls: Gokudols”

This one is hilarious. The Story Plot contains Three Yakuza who are forced to undergo Gender Transition to become Popular Idols.
As Funny as it seems, it is that fun.
The Situational Comedy is perfect, and the way the lines are performed by the voice actors is stunning.
There is no else to say about the anime. It is binge-worthy, and I watch it during my Gym sessions when I do cardio. Other than that, the Comedy is really “Adult based” and for the Age “18 Plus”.
So if you are a minor, only watch within your Parental Boundaries and speak to them if they allow you to watch it. The Lines are not that crazy, but there will be cussing and occasional references to some Adult Jokes.
Highly recommended Netflix Watch. Also, Good for Short Train Rides.
Recommendation 3: “Dandadan”

The Perfect example of how crazy Japanese storytelling can and is.
The Main Two Heroes. High school Students are forced to retrieve the main male character’s testicles after he lost them in an accident.
During their Quest, they meet up with Aliens and Different Monsters.
The Anime is a Mix of Fighting Anime, Slice of Life, and Love Story. The Series is highly Popular, and I also recommend it for young/Adult Women because the Love Interest is cool and fits the Story of the Anime.
The Comedy is hilarious, and the Anime is easy to watch. Perfect for those Rainy Days when you want to kill some Time and have 25 Minutes left to spare.
Or More 🙂
Did I already mention that the art style is very cool and differs from other Animation studios? The Colors are well saturated, and the line strokes can be described as “muddy” but with a sense of fast-paced aesthetic.
This is also interesting if you are an art student and want to watch something that differed in presentation from the general Japanese anime output.
Go Watch it. Just give it a Try. Thank me later.
