Publishing Your First Podcast on Apple Podcasts

Hello everyone…! Yesterday I published my Very First Podcast on Apple Podcasts, and now I want to summarize what I’ve learnt.
I’m a beginner in podcasting, but as far as I know there must be a host service where you upload your Files to.
From there, you can redistribute it to different platforms like Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

What I thought
I was suddenly in a rush, and in a moment of clarity, I decided to upload my short stories as an audiobook on Apple Podcasts.
I choose apple Podcasts mainly because I am a subscriber to Apple Music and like its ecosystem.
My files are mainly generated, and I just wanted to provide a little extra effort for my blog readers.
Nowadays, I think it’s nice to have something like this in audio form because I assume for most people it’s easier to listen to something instead of reading it.
And for this Purpose, I choose to upload my short stories like an audiobook.
How I did it
The process is simple.
First, you must create an Apple Podcast account and register on the platform.
After short questions, you have to fill out your details and some required documents.

For me, this was the hardest part because it was all written in English, but after some fiddling, I made my way around it and completed each form.
After that, you can create a Channel and Episodes.

Each Episode comes with a Description, a Number for the Season, and a 3000 x 3000 image which you can freely choose from.
For me, I use my A. I generated images and made them bigger and adjusted the size via Canvas.
After that, you are set up and can upload an MP3 or similar audio file.

Close Up
The process took me about 3 hours to figure out without googling it first.
I also contacted support because my file upload wouldn’t work right off the bat.
But after waiting another hour or so, it started to work, and I could upload my files and podcast.
After it’s published, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to be visible in the Apple Podcasts app.
Another one is that you have to pay 20 Dollars a Year for the Service.
But for its simplicity, I think it is well worth the price.
I am very happy with the results and plan to write and publish more.
Thank you for reading.
