My Comfy Little Apartment in Grenchen, Switzerland

Hello World, this is me writing from my little apartment in Switzerland. It’s been three months since I moved from Phayao, Northern Thailand, to Central Switzerland, and it’s been a great Experience so Far. Let me Tell You Why.

Getting Ready for The Big Move!

It was nearly 3 Months ago when I packed my belongings and moved from Home in Thailand to Switzerland. First, it was very scary because I didn’t know how it all would sum up in the End.

This is me at the Aiport in Chiang Rai waiting for the upcoming Flight which was 1 Hour Late

I was never far apart from my Mother. Of Course, I moved out when I was ca. 21 and had 3 Flats and different Jobs but when we decided to Move during her retirement to Thailand I was always by her side and helping and supporting each other.

She was there for me when I had my Facial Feminization Surgery and supported me even during my Social and Medical Transition. And I was and am so thankful to her for that!

But coming back to my Plan to Live Full Time in Switzerland I left my beloved Martin D-13 and my Two Doga Shabu and Si-Mog to have a better brighter Future in Switzerland. I always liked Thailand but it was more than Sure that one time I would have to live and Work in Switzerland. I grew up there so that was a no-brainer.

Sharing a Household and Getting my First Job

So after Landing at Zurich Airport, I grabbed my belongings and took the Train for 1 Hour to Central Switzerland, Grenchen. Grenchen is a Landslide City with little Shops, Cinemas, and now even Sushi Restaurant. It’s not that big but its place is lovely near the Mountains, Rivers, and Forests.

When I arrived at the train station I had to walk for 10 Minutes to the nearest Thai restaurant where I rented a Flat for the first couple of months.

The Owner was a friendly Lady with 4 Cats. This alone where the reason I liked to stay there. I even got some Free Lunches and could use her Printer and Wi-Fi.

After 2 Weeks of Calling Around, I got my First Job at Migros Grenchen. That’s a Local Supermarket Chain. Since it was near the train station I just got to walk 10 Minutes and could eat at Home.

The Days were firstly supper thought as I had to stand for more than 8 Hours. During this period I walked over 10 Kilometers a Day and my Feet Hurt. But I Liked the Work and could work there PArt Time for about 2 Months. The Work consisted of Organizing and Presenting the Food (Fruits) and helping around the Mall.

Getting an Apartment and a Cat!

After I finished my work I went hunting for a Flat. It took about 5 Weeks to find one and get accepted. But After that, I could use the Money I’ve made during my time at the mall and get it decorated! Since I have always wanted a cat I chose to adopt a little Kitten named “Happy”. He is now sleeping by my side as I write these lines.

And That’s It for today’s Post. I hope you can get a little insight into my Life and Stay Tuned for The Next Blog Post.
